Q: What is a (LTD): limited edition print?
A: A (LTD): limited edition print, is a specific quantity of approved published (Fine Art Giclee Prints), derived from an original painting by Philippe A. Fernandez. Philippe adheres to a strict authenticity & exclusivity standards. Only the artist himself is allowed to take part in the print making process. Philippe, only utilizes the best in archival museum production standards. Philippe, guarantees after a limited edition is produced, NO other prints of any kind or size will ever be made again.

Q: What does Giclee mean?
A: The term "giclee print" connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto archival watercolor or cotton rag paper. The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction and can last for a few hundred years longer. 

Q: What does Archival mean?
A: Archival, simply means acid free. A material that will not degrade over time and where the print will not suffer degradation due acid. Only cotton rag paper can be 100% naturally acid free. all other surfaces are treated with PH neutral adhesives to remove the acid. Treated surfaces don't stay acid free however, The become acidic again over time.  

Q: What is a (A/P): Artist Proof print?
A: Artist proofs by Philippe Fernandez, are basically identical to the edition in which it is printed from. They are just a few official test giclee prints that do not become part of the set numbered edition. All artist proofs by Philippe A. Fernandez, are 100% hand-embellished by the artist. We only offer 1-5 Artist Proofs per edition. A/P's can be considered more desirable because only a few of its kind exists. 

Q: What is Hand-Embellished ?
A: The word "embellish" as defined by Webster is "to make beautiful by ornamentation, to adorn or to add fanciful details to." Hand-Embellished A/P Giclee Prints, by Philippe A. Fernandez s, refers to painting over areas of the image on a print to enhance light, depth, and or color to the finished print.

Q: What is a (COA) certificate of authenticity?
A: Certificate of Authenticity originates from and is signed by the artist who created the art, not the publisher, confirmed established dealer, or the agent of the artist. (not a casual third party or reseller), A certificate is pretty much meaningless unless officially singed, numbered by the artist themselves . A legitimate COA must contain specific details about the art such as date, size, and medium.
